Audit re-checked September 25, 2026
FRAG Alchemy is a small online shop selling perfume samples and decants, built on Shopify. It was our first full audit, done at no charge as a portfolio job, and the owner gave us permission to share the results by name. He made the fixes himself using the steps in the report, and we ran the same checks again two days later.
What we checked
Every page on the site, 211 in all: page titles, Google descriptions, headings, mobile setup, broken pages, image alt text, and the settings Shopify handles on its own (sitemap, robots.txt, canonical tags). Each finding is measured against a written standard, and each one comes with the steps to fix it in Shopify.
| Area | Before | After |
|---|---|---|
| Technical | 100 | 100 |
| Metadata | 80 | 100 |
| Content | 85 | 95 |
| Mobile | 100 | 100 |
| Performance | 100 | 100 |
Performance here means the checks in the original audit (errors and page response), not a Google PageSpeed score.
What cleared
Cleared Four pages had no Google description. The contact page, the homepage product collection, one brand collection, and the blog had nothing for Google to show under the title, so Google picked its own text. The owner wrote a description for each one. Shopify shows a gray placeholder in that field when it's empty, which makes it easy to think a description is already there, so the report pointed that out.
Cleared Two homepage banner images had no alt text at all. Alt text is what screen readers and search engines use to understand an image. Both banners now describe what they show.
What's still open
Low Eight product images in the search panel carry blank alt text. The product photos already have alt text in Shopify, but the theme's search-panel template writes a blank one of its own. Each image sits right next to the product name in text, so it's a low priority, and fixing it means a small edit to the theme code.
What the owner said
We publish every review we receive. We add the paid or complimentary label ourselves, and we only hold back spam or anything with private details.
What this doesn't claim
A higher score means the problems we measured are fixed. It doesn't promise more traffic or better rankings, and we don't put a number on that for any client. We also kept page speed out of the comparison, since the first audit didn't include it.
