Privacy policy
Anywhere Web Repair is a small business based in Virginia, USA. This page explains what information we collect when you use this website or order an audit, what we do with it, and how to ask us to delete it. We've written it in plain language on purpose.
What we collect
When you fill in the contact form: your name, email address, your website's address, the platform it runs on, which service you're interested in, and anything you type in the message box. We also record the time of the submission and your IP address, which we use only to block spam and abuse.
When you order an audit: the details above, plus whatever we need to do the work. For a Deep Dive, that includes the temporary access you grant to your platform's admin. Payment details are handled by the platform or payment processor you pay through (for example Contra, Upwork, PayPal or Stripe); we never see or store your card number.
When we audit your site: we crawl publicly accessible pages of the site you asked us to look at. That's information about your website, not about you or your visitors. We don't collect your customers' personal data.
Automatically: like almost every website, our hosting provider keeps standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested, timestamps). We don't run advertising trackers, and we don't set analytics cookies. Fonts on this site load from Google Fonts, which means Google's servers see the request for the font file; see Google's fonts privacy FAQ.
What we use it for
- Replying to you and delivering the service you asked for.
- Keeping a record of the work we did for you, so we can answer follow-up questions.
- Preventing spam and abuse of the contact form.
- Meeting legal and tax record-keeping obligations.
That's the whole list. We don't sell your information, we don't share it with advertisers, and we don't add you to a mailing list because you contacted us.
Who else sees it
Only the service providers we need to run the business: our website host, our email provider, and the marketplace or payment processor you paid through. Each of them handles data under their own privacy policy. We don't hand your details to anyone else unless the law requires it.
How long we keep it
Contact-form submissions that don't turn into work are deleted after 12 months. Records of completed work (the report, our correspondence, and the invoice) are kept for as long as tax law requires us to keep business records, then deleted.
Your choices
Email hello@anywherewebrepair.com and we will tell you what we hold about you, correct it, or delete it, usually within a few days. Deleting records of paid work may be limited by the record-keeping rules mentioned above; we'll tell you if that applies.
Children
This site and our services are for businesses and adults. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
Changes
If this policy changes in a way that matters, we'll update the date at the top and, if you're a current client, email you.
